Where are you located?

Every Sunday, we meet at George Mason University Law School, located at 3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201, in Founders Hall, Room 125.

Saturday services are held at the Central United Methodist Church located at 4201 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203.

Where do I park?

Free street parking is available on Sundays. There is also an underground parking facility (Founders Hall) available.

To access Founders Hall parking facility use the alley behind Founders Hall, turning off either Kirkwood Drive (between Hazel Hall and Truland Building) or Washington Boulevard at the traffic signal between Giant and GMU Foundation Building (come down the hill and go past the GMUF garage and the Original Building loading dock).

Once you enter the garage you will find parking on B2. From there, take the elevator to the first floor. Prepaid parking tickets will be available after The Well at the Connection Table. When you exit, you will first insert the parking ticket you pulled to enter and then you will insert your prepaid ticket.

I am not a member of your church.  Am I able to still attend?

Of course!  Guests are always welcome.  One of our core values at STSA is Limitless Acceptance.  We believe that God accepts us just as we are and therefore it is our pleasure to accept you just as you are as well.  So no matter who you are or where you’ve been or how far you’ve gone, you’re always welcome!

The most guest-friendly service for you to attend if you’re not a church member is The Well, which meets at 11:30 am.  There you will be:

  • Welcomed by many friendly faces
  • Inspired by a great message relevant to what you’re going through in life
  • Child-free if you have kids who are 18 months – 12th grade because we have fun children and youth programs during The Well!

What is there for my children?

One of the reasons we have so many families coming back every week is because of our outstanding children and youth programs which meet every Sunday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.

  • Tim's Tots is for children ages 18 months – 3 years-old, during the liturgy and then begins again at 11:30am during The Well
  • Pre-K @ STSA is our preschool Sunday School program designed for our three year olds and four year olds.
  • Kidz @ The Well is our children’s program for kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
  • The Third Floor is a youth program designed for kids in 5th through 12th grade.

For more information about our children’s program, please visit our Children and Youth page.

How can I get further involved?

At STSA, we believe that every one of us is entrusted by God with specific talents and gifts and He has given them to us to further His mission on earth.  Regardless of what those gifts or talents might be, we believe that there is a place for them in our church.

The best way to get involved would be to stop by the Connection Table any Sunday and check out the latest volunteer opportunities available at STSA. They’re always changing so be sure to stop by and check out the latest opportunities in need.

How do I become a member of St. Timothy and St. Athanasius Church?

Once you’ve decided to become a committed member we ask that you participate in a membership group. Whether you are new to orthodoxy or new to STSA, all are asked to join a 7 week membership group. In it you will enjoy getting to know other new members and gain an understanding of what it means to be an orthodox Christian and member of STSA. Our program is based on the teachings of the early church fathers and the catechism program they developed. Participants will also learn about STSA’s history, mission and vision and spend time discovering their own spiritual gifts.
